Profile

I'm a software engineer specialized in UX and, more recently, AI. I started in front-end and full stack development, co-founded two companies, and spent more than ten years in technology leadership roles, the last five as CTO of Aurum Software.

At Aurum, I led a technology organization that grew to 50 people, covering product, engineering, cloud, data, security, and internal IT. Today I'm founding a new business and building my own projects through fael.tech.

  • I build and publish my own tools and methods, such as AIKM and Radiant, and studies on UX applied to AI.

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

  • Responsible for product, engineering, cloud, performance, data, security, and internal IT, with OKR-based planning and direct involvement in architecture and platform decisions.
  • Grew the technology organization from 25 to 50 people across eight squads. Over the same period, company revenue went from about R$60 million to more than R$100 million and the user base nearly doubled, passing 200,000 users.
  • Standardized the engineering pipelines for product, performance, cloud, data, and internal systems, and centralized IT asset management.
  • Built the data function from scratch, with a team, data marts, and governance and reliability practices.
  • Created the information security program based on the CIS Controls and automated monitoring. Monthly requests to investigate data leaks dropped from about 30 to zero.
  • Built the company's AI adoption roadmap, covering governance and security, AI in the development lifecycle, spec-driven development, and product innovation.
  • Served as the company's DPO and put privacy and LGPD compliance practices in place.
  • Team eNPS stayed above 80 every year I led the area, and the company was Great Place to Work certified during that time.

Senior Front-end Engineer and Tech Lead

  • Led an innovation squad of six to eight people and worked on the front end of one of the company's main products.
  • Led the incremental migration from AngularJS to React with micro-frontends, without rewriting the product or pausing its evolution.
  • Was the reference for front-end architecture and code quality. About six months after joining, I took over as head of technology.

  • Co-founded the company, which worked on reverse logistics for waste, and built its technology function from scratch.
  • Researched, designed, built, and maintained three digital products with AngularJS and Go, including the entire front end, and later led the front-end migration to React.
  • Stayed on as co-founder through the shift to a new business model, focused on large consumer goods and retail companies such as Cargill, Johnson & Johnson, Nestlé, and Suvinil, and sold my stake when I closed that chapter.
